"The Road To Knowledge" metal sculpture

By Gilbert McCann: Metal Sculptor

The Road To Knowledge metal sculpture, with Giilbert McCann, Sculptor

The sculpture "Road to Knowledge" is my view of the paths we take to build our intellect. Some times the path is smooth and an easy downhill journey; other times it is pitted and you must struggle to climb. The wheel symbolizes a person traveling the road of life gathering knowledge and experiences that makes them who they are.

"Road to Knowledge" is constructed from bands of steel, taken from various antique industrial wagon wheels. This is in keeping with the theme of a journey of intellectual growth and the means by which it is accomplished.
